Councillor Robert Cunliffe

(Elected Mayor of Royal Leamington Spa on 22nd May 2010)

 

Councillor Cunliffe was first elected to the Town Council at the elections in May, 2007 as representative for the Clarendon Ward.  He was elected Deputy Mayor in May 2009.

 

Councillor Cunliffe has served as a Member of the Council's Planning Committee and is presently a Member of the Policy and Resources Committee. He also represents the Council on the Town's Christmas Lighting Working Group. He has chaired the North Leamington Community Forum for the past two years.

 

Councillor Cunliffe was born in Derby and worked for many years in the Engineering Industry for Rolls Royce and later Automotive Products here in Leamington.  He is an active Member of the Clarendon Neighbourhood Watch, Central Leamington Area Residents' Association and the Leamington Society.

 

Councillor Cunliffe looks foward to his year in office and to meeting the many Community Groups and individuals who work in a voluntary capacity to improve life in our Town. His priority for the year ahead is to encourage young people to take on a responsible role within the community  and to reward and recognise their endeavours when they do so.

 

The Mayor will be supporting the following three Charites during his year of Office:-

During the course of his year in Office he will be initiating a number of fund raising events, further details of whcih will appear on the site in due course.
